Scientists say the polar bear may not exist anymore by the end of the century as a result of the ice in the Arctic is melting. They are listed as Vulnerable by WWF and IUCN, and their survival and protection is an urgent issue.

Did you know that the polar bear is the only bear classified as a marine mammal? And that it can smell prey up to a kilometre away?
