SKYDIVER / CAELUM DIVER
The Skydiver («caelum diver»), is for many suprisingly listed as Least Concern (LC) in the Red List of Threatened Species. They can be found at locations containing a plane, pilot and people of same species. These places are usually called dropzones (DZ) and are found all over the world. They exit the plane at different altitudes, preferably between 3500 and 14000 feet. Then some enjoy the freefall most, some the canopy flight, and others both equally. What they all have in common despite origin, age and experience is that they care about safety, eachother and land with a big smile on their faces. The first skydive was in 1797, and increased around 100 years ago, then found jumping in war zones like during the world wars. Some of them enjoyed being Skydivers and became the first Fun Jumpers (read: jumping for fun). Before the Skydivers were more Endangered (EN), but over the last years they have developed their equipment and gained more controlability . They are now down to the same safety rate as motorcyclists, and the making of new Skydivers increases for every year.
